Singapore in November 2026: Three Outings for Tea and Ceramics Lovers

A quiet afternoon with ceramics can change how we look at the cup we use every morning. This November, three Singapore outings offer different ways to explore that connection: a gallery exhibition, a hands-on photographic process and a celebration of Minnan craft.

Choose the experience that appeals to you, leave time to look closely, and check the organiser’s latest details before setting out.

1. Curated Creations at Mulan Gallery

For an unhurried gallery visit, Mulan Gallery’s Curated Creations brings functional ceramics, sculptural porcelain and other artworks into a conversation about everyday surroundings and thoughtful gifts. Its three showcases are Gathered Warmth, Made for Giving and Small Joys.

Try looking at scale before decoration. Which object would feel at home beside your usual cup? Where would you leave space around it? A gallery visit need not end in a purchase to sharpen your eye for the things you already own.

2. Make an image with light, then bring it to ceramics

The Memory of Light: Exploring Cyanotype on Ceramics is a workshop led by Juhardi Mohamed for the Singapore International Photography Festival. Participants begin with watercolour paper, botanical materials and found objects, before exploring the process on ceramic tableware. No previous experience is required.

For someone interested in both photography and objects, the appeal is the change of pace: arranging a shape, watching the light and allowing time to become part of the result. It offers a different way to think about the surface of an everyday vessel.

  • When: Saturday, 14 November 2026, 11 am–1 pm.
  • Where: MESO Ceramics, 475 Geylang Road, 2nd Floor, Singapore 389434.
  • Listed tickets: S$85 general admission; S$65 concession. Confirm concession eligibility, fees and current availability with the ticket provider.

3. Follow the connections between tea and Minnan craft

The World Minnan Culture Festival 2026 offers a broader cultural outing. Lam Ann Association’s programme includes Dehua ceramics, lacquer thread carving, bead embroidery, woodblock prints and paper-cutting, alongside live artisan demonstrations. Anxi Tieguanyin tea appreciation and Yongchun incense culture are also part of the announced programme.

Leave time for a demonstration rather than only viewing finished objects. Watching the sequence of small decisions behind a piece can make its form easier to understand. Tea, ceramics and other crafts offer several paths into the same afternoon, so there is no need to rush through everything.

  • Dates: 28–29 November 2026.
  • Venue: Melati Ballroom, Level 4, Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
  • Hours and admission: To be announced. Check the organiser’s page before making plans.

Make room for a slower November

A useful way to choose is to ask what you want to take home: a fresh way of looking, the experience of making, or a stronger connection to craft traditions. You might find an object you love, but a new question to bring to the tea table can be just as worthwhile.
